ThirdBase Pty Ltd was engaged by Benetas to provide process improvement coaching to staff in its Human Resources department which was seeking to reduce complexity of processes and streamline its forms, checklists and procedures.
A ThirdBase consultant met with the Human Resources team on a regular basis to provide process improvement training, coaching and review.
The approach adopted was one of practical hands-on learning where staff took responsibility for analysing processes and presenting recommended improvements for review prior to implementation.
Equipped with the knowledge and skills to analyse current practice and implement process improvements, the team was able to:
- Achieve greater control and reliability of its core HR processes.
- Improve the operation of selected processes through redesigned flows, responsibilities and forms.
- Remove duplication and non-value adding activities
Plans are in place to continue the focus of process improvement within the HR department through regular meetings and process reviews.
